Salikyu Sangtam is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Tetso College in Dimapur, Nagaland, India. He has considerable experience in teaching and research. He also held a position at the Logdrum Foundation as a Fellow (Geopolitics and International Relations) in 2025-2026. His research interests center on the politics of knowledge, political philosophy (Western, Indian, and Chinese) and political psychology.
He holds a PhD degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from the Department of Political Science, Troy University.
Sangtam is an H-index scholar and a public intellectual and philosopher. He has written extensively on new media and print. Besides, he has published his work in Religions, Comparative Strategy, and Rising Asia Journal, among others. He also initiated a journal, Borderland Journal (2025), during his stint at Tetso College. He has served as an external reviewer for the journal International Affairs (Chatham House, Royal Institute of International Affairs, UK), published by Oxford University Press, and Indigenous Studies and Cultural Diversity Journal (Hokkaido University, Japan). He has been invited to speak at international conference abroad. He is a regular recipient of grants from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), and the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA).
